Senior Software Development Engineer

Summary:

Amadeus is looking for a Software Developer to join the Agile Release Train "Orion Train", a strategic initiative focused on building a new issuing platform that enables travel agencies to generate virtual credit cards to pay their providers. In this role, you will design, develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications based on microservices architecture on an open platform. You will be part of a Scrum team located in Madrid and will have the opportunity to contribute from the early stages of a large, high-impact project within Outpayce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native microservices that support the virtual credit card issuing platform.

• Contribute to the architecture and delivery of key platform components and new product features.

• Troubleshoot and resolve defects to ensure product quality and system reliability.

• Monitor and optimize application performance and maintain technical documentation.

• Collaborate with Product Management, Business Analysts, QA, and Operations to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Work closely with other development teams to coordinate cross-team development activities.

About the Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Around 5+ years of experience in software development.

• Strong programming skills in Java and good understanding of object-oriented design.

• Experience with cloud-native technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or microservices architectures.

• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum required; SAFe is a plus).

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
