We build game-changing products and scalable software in the online betting space. Across the globe, our cross-functional teams create online gaming platforms as well as betting solutions that reach hundreds of thousands of users daily.

About this role

In this role you will be leading both internal and external teams (3rd Party Partners), collaborating across different Enterprise functions and disciplines to deliver against our company strategy. You will work as part of cross functional team, in partnership with Product, Architecture, DevOps, Operations and Commercial, amongst other disciplines, to deliver high quality content to our customer while taking care of the product portfolio health and stability.

Your mission

Your role involves delivering exceptional products while upholding and promoting standards, principles, and best practices across teams to ensure a unified and interconnected work experience for all team members, regardless of location or division.

In this position, you will play a key role in driving the transformation and ongoing improvement of our work processes and products, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement. You will proactively address challenges, question outdated methods, and dig deep to identify root causes, enabling us to elevate our performance and deliver superior products more efficiently. The team operates at a fast pace, so you must be comfortable with ambiguity and constant change-this role requires resilience and adaptability.

You will thrive in a dynamic environment and embrace challenges, with a passion for nurturing the talent within your teams. We currently manage an extensive product portfolio where new features and platform enhancements are constantly in development. Advancing and evolving our platform, technology, and tools to maximise efficiency and optimise development experiences for us and our partners is a top priority.

What you'll do

We're looking for a talented leader with a wealth of experience, a positive outlook and collaborative attitude to drive our Engineering teams forward.

In this role, you can expect everyday challenges and responsibilities that will include:

· Building and expanding a high-performing team through strategic hiring, coaching, and ongoing development.

· Cultivating a strong sense of purpose, identity, and belonging, while establishing a consistent culture and unified ways of working across teams in various locations

· Effectively communicating and disseminating our vision and strategy, while supporting the development and execution of tactics and objectives within your teams

· Championing technology stability and evolution initiatives as part of our roadmap to achieve Platform Stability KPIs.

· Supporting the prioritisation, forecasting, allocation, and planning of initiatives within our Portfolio in alignment with Strategic Plans.

· Empowering the engineering organisation to meet their targets and promoting a culture of accountability for achieving results.

· Collaborating with Product and other relevant functions to ensure alignment with Principles and Best Practices in the execution of the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC).

· Encouraging cross-functional ownership and accountability throughout the entire delivery process, actively addressing silos within the PDLC.

· Leading and mentoring engineers to drive high performance and career growth.

· Contributing to the Engineering Leadership community across the organisation to promote alignment and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Working with Architecture Central team to incorporate relevant insights into the Enterprise Technology Strategy and reinforce agreed standards and KPIs within your teams

· Providing visibility of engineering challenges and action plans to peers and senior stakeholders, involving the appropriate parties in developing and executing solutions.

· You have a track record of building high quality, scalable and reliable complex software solutions.

· You have strong experience developing and implementing engineering principles and best practices in an Agile environment.

· You have strong knowledge and experience with DevOps methodologies, coding standards and software development tools.

· You have high level architecture knowledge and a good understanding of architecture principles and best practices

· You have high level application security knowledge and a good understanding of security principles and best practices.

And additionally, we will value:

· Previous experience designing or working with data platforms and data engineering technologies, including streaming and real-time processing (e.g., Kafka, Flink).

· Familiar with using technology to present, plan and co-ordinate/facilitate meetings effectively.

· Analytical, familiar with interpreting data leading to valuable, actionable insights.

· Proven ability to push projects to completion.

· Collaborates and leverages networking opportunities effectively at all levels of the organisation.

· Passionate about doing the right thing and embedding a data driven approach across the organisation.

· Relentless curiosity, continually asks "why"/"why not" and persistently digs deep into information sources available to find the relevant answers.
