Purpose of the role
Portfolio Product Marketing serves as a strategic connector between commercial teams and product management, helping translate market insights and commercial priorities into product evolution and go‑to‑market execution. This role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to collaborate across commercial and product areas to support effective strategy execution.
This role is responsible for the commercial and product success of our Payout solutions in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, representing a significant share of our business. Responsibilities include shaping product positioning, supporting commercial adoption, and contributing to product development that reflects customer needs, market opportunities, and Outpayce's strategic priorities.
As part of the Product Marketing and Business Strategy Department, the role maintains a clear mid‑term strategic focus and supports alignment between commercial execution and product strategy. The role contributes to annual objectives while helping evolve the product and commercial footprint toward our long-term vision of serving the payment needs of the travel ecosystem and Amadeus verticals through a suite of interconnected solutions powered by Amadeus travel assets.
Main responsibilities
1. Market Strategy Inputs
Generate market and customer insights through analysis of trends, customer discussions, discovery initiatives, and customer outcome reviews, acting as a strategic interface between market, product, and commercial teams.
Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Partnerships, Commercial) and external stakeholders (customers, prospects, partners) to gather structured feedback for product and commercial strategy.
Build combined product and market understanding to anticipate industry evolution and identify opportunities.
Consolidate insights on unmet needs, emerging opportunities, and competitive gaps to inform portfolio strategy.
Provide market‑based inputs that help shape strategic priorities for product and commercial planning.
2. Product Lifecycle Stakeholder
Translate market insights and commercial priorities into product requirements that reflect customer needs and strategic direction.
Support early phases of the Product Lifecycle (PLC) by framing opportunities, validating problem statements, and contributing to solution exploration.
Develop well‑supported business cases outlining strategic and financial impact for new initiatives.
Collaborate on pilot initiatives to test early‑stage solutions with real users and incorporate feedback into development.
Participate in early commercial engagement for mid‑ and long‑term initiatives, ensuring market feedback informs product evolution.
3. Strategic Value Proposition
Define the strategic direction for portfolio positioning, including messaging and value propositions.
Contribute strategic inputs to the Go‑to‑Market (GTM) organization to guide commercial execution.
Support the definition of commercial packaging, priority markets, and customer segments.
Ensure consistency between product strategy, commercial priorities, and market positioning.
Support positioning of future initiatives within the broader long-term strategy.
4. Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration
Participate in customer engagements and strategic discussions to gather market insights and emerging needs.
Provide input into partner strategy, business models, and collaboration structures.
Help align internal teams around shared strategic priorities using external and internal perspectives.
Support ongoing ecosystem development by sharing market insights.
Serve as a key partner to Product, Commercial, and Partnerships teams to maintain strategic alignment.
About the ideal candidate
Master's degree (MBA or MSc) or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree with additional relevant qualifications also considered.
Experience in product management, product marketing, commercial, or pre‑sales roles within the travel industry or related sectors.
Understanding of travel industry dynamics, customer behavior, and market trends.
Knowledge of discovery practices, sales enablement, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and product strategy.
English proficiency level appropriate for a global environment.
