Role Description

We are seeking an exceptional Delivery Director to own and scale the execution of complex AI data projects across a major client portfolio or service vertical. This role focuses on operational excellence and flawless delivery, working in close partnership with our Business Development team to drive revenue growth through exceptional client outcomes.

You'll own the execution excellence for a substantial portfolio of projects, ensuring every delivery exceeds client expectations on quality, while hitting timeline and gross margin targets. 

Working directly with client researchers, vendor managers, science teams, and product teams, you'll be the execution backbone that turns business development wins into delivered value.

You'll combine operational rigor with client excellence:

• Executing complex project portfolios from scoping through delivery, ensuring on-time, high-quality outcomes that drive client satisfaction and retention
• Managing gross margin targets across your project portfolio, optimizing delivery efficiency and resource allocation
• Partnering closely with Business Development to scope new opportunities, structure project proposals, and convert prospects into successful deliveries
• Directing delivery teams and project managers, stepping in as hands-on DPM when situations require it
• Driving continuous improvement in delivery processes and developing new approaches to enhance execution quality
• Managing client relationships during project execution, ensuring smooth communication and addressing delivery challenges

This role requires exceptional operational leadership combined with the ability to manage complex technical stakeholder relationships. You'll oversee multiple concurrent projects while maintaining the execution standards that fuel our revenue growth.

You'll work closely with client data scientists, ML engineers, researchers, and executives who are pushing the boundaries of GenAI. You'll experience our dynamic scale-up environment alongside our team of ex-Google, McKinsey, QuantumBlack, and Bain professionals.

Required Skills and Experience

• Deep understanding of AI and GenAI: technology and market trends, basic knowledge of statistics, ML and data science
• Industry experience: worked in tech, startups, or as a founder
• Background in STEM: BS or MS in computer science, maths, physics, etc.
• Experience with Robotics, RL Gyms, or off-the-shelf datasets would be a big advantage
• Strong consulting toolkit, ideally with at least two years in top-3 consultancy reaching Engagement Manager or equivalent

Toloka compensation for this role is benchmarked to local market rates and varies by location within the United States. For candidates in the US, the base salary range for this role is USD 160k - 210k USD per year. Since this is a remote role, actual compensation will depend on factors such as location, relevant experience, skills, knowledge, internal pay equity, and market conditions. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for other elements of compensation such as [bonus/commission/equity, as applicable], as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
