Requirements
5 years experience in the medical devices, health care or pharmaceutical industry
Strong technical background in evidence-based medicine, health economics, or health policy with a demonstrated track record of success is required
Advanced degree in health economics, health policy, public health, economics, healthcare management or other relevant discipline is preferred
Knowledge of healthcare systems and market-access processes in emerging markets is preferred
Strong track record of successful engagement with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
Appetite to build on knowledge and experience of market access and health economics
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional matrix to successfully deliver objectives on time and within budget

Role overview
HEMA Manager, Emerging Markets leads the health economics activities for our Electrophysiology portfolio at Johnson & Johnson MedTech through the development and execution of robust health economic arguments and tools to support funding and procedural adoption.
This regional role is responsible for Emerging Markets and works closely with local market-access and government-affairs teams. It ensures we have the necessary health-economics and market-access capabilities and that we convey a clear, value-based message to customers, as evolving procurement processes and an increasing focus on value-based healthcare require clinical evidence and demonstration of the economic value of our technologies and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with key localand regionalfunctionaland externalcollaborators to contribute to the overall strategy, developing evidence and value communication tools and messaging aligned to the EP portfolio
Support the development ofhealth economicstools, translating complex messages into simple statements that can easily be articulated by the sales force
Accountable for health economic input into novel local commercial initiatives requiring substantiation of value, including but not restricted to value-based procurement and value-based agreements
Work closely with the marketing, clinical, and sales teams to ensure the alignment of market access activities with overall business objectives
Provide input into the evidence generation strategy for new product development andidentifylocal opportunities for health economic evidence generation
Support the adaptation and local approval of regionally developed HEMA tools, translating complex messages into simple statements that can easily be articulated by the sales force
Qualifications & Experience
- >5 years experience in the medical devices, health care or pharmaceutical industry
- Strong technical background in evidence-based medicine, health economics, or health policy with a demonstrated track record of success is required
- Advanced degree in health economics, health policy, public health, economics, healthcare management or other relevant discipline is preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare systems and market-access processes in emerging markets is preferred
- Strong track record of successful engagement with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders

Location
Preference will be given to candidates based in the emerging markets (Central and Eastern Europe e.g., Czechia, Poland; Turkey; and the Middle East). However, we are open to considering candidates based in other European countries.
