Our client is a leading U.S. fashion retailer, offering apparel, footwear, beauty, and home goods. It operates 350+ stores and robust online platforms, combining in-store and digital experiences.

We're looking for a Senior Node.js Engineer to join the Personalization department supporting large-scale customer experiences. You will design and build scalable, cloud-native services that power personalization features used by millions of customers.

You'll work in a collaborative agile environment, partnering with product, data, and platform teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance solutions.

This is a hands-on senior role - you will architect systems, mentor engineers, and drive engineering excellence.

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js

• Lead complex technical initiatives across multiple teams

• Define architecture, perform design reviews, and conduct code reviews

• Build and maintain microservices and REST APIs

• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis

• Mentor engineers and promote best engineering practices

• Implement secure coding and cloud architecture standards

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features end-to-end

• Improve system performance, reliability, and observability

• Strong expertise in Node.js / JavaScript (required)

• Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs

• Cloud experience (AWS preferred)

• Containerization experience (Docker)

• Familiarity with Kubernetes

• Experience with relational databases

• CI/CD pipeline experience

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
