Engineering teams work on highly distributed systems, advanced data processing pipelines, and analytics-driven services that continuously evolve to meet growing market demands.
Payment Gateway Integration: Build and maintain custom Apex classes that handle Tokenization, Authorization, Capture, and Refunds via the Elavon API directly from the Salesforce UI.
Surcharge Architecture: Design and implement Apex logic to calculate and insert Credit Card Surcharge lines dynamically before transactions are processed.
Complex Billing Logic: Write plugins and batch jobs to handle complex proration, fee modeling, and currency rounding that extend the capabilities of the standard Salesforce Billing package.
Reconciliation Automation: Develop automated scripts to compare Gateway Settlement reports against Salesforce Payment records to identify and flag discrepancies.
System Stability: Optimize batch processes for Invoice Runs and Payment Collections to prevent governor limit exceptions during high-volume periods.
Must have
3+ years of Salesforce development experience with a strong focus on Apex (Triggers, Batch, Scheduled).
Hands-on experience with billing, invoicing, or payment processing systems within Salesforce or similar CRM platforms or willingness to develop expertise in these systems.
Background integrating CRM systems with external payment providers or financial systems via APIs would be a plus.
Understanding of financial concepts (Invoices, Credit Notes, Payments, Tax).
Familiarity with secure payment handling practices and compliance standards (e.g., PCI), including tokenization or similar data protection approaches would be a plus.
Nice to have
Experience with the Salesforce Billing managed package (formerly SteelBrick Billing).
Experience with CyberSource or similar enterprise payment hubs.
Salesforce Billing Specialist Superbadge or CPQ certification.
