The client is a large North American retailer operating a high-scale supply chain and warehouse management platforms. Their systems support business-critical operations and run in a distributed, 24/7 production environment with a strong focus on reliability and stability.

The project focuses on backend systems that support supply chain services and warehouse management. The team develops and maintains Java-based microservices and works with production systems. Engineers collaborate closely with senior developers and cross-functional partners while contributing to both new development and system support.

• Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot integrations with Manhattan Active WMS

• Configure Manhattan Active WMS to support warehouse operations and business requirements

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery and code quality

• Deploy and manage services in Kubernetes environments

• Develop automated tests and perform manual testing as needed

• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation, responding to incidents and driving automation to reduce future pages

• Collaborate with team members, TPMs, and cross-functional stakeholders on project delivery

Must Have:

• Proficiency with AI code generation tools - demonstrated ability to effectively use Claude Code or GitHub Copilot (Claude Code strongly preferred)

• Strong communication skills - ability to clearly articulate technical decisions, blockers, and progress

• Reliable execution - consistent track record of completing work on time and following through on commitments

• Experience with Java and Spring Boot

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with containerized deployments (Kubernetes)

• Warehouse management system experience (Manhattan Active or similar)

• Experience with supply chain or inventory systems

• Test automation frameworks (JUnit, integration testing)

• Incident response and on-call experience

• Experience driving operational excellence and reducing toil through automation
