Role overview:

We are looking for an Ads Tech Lead to lead the technical direction of our Ads team within our Smart TV OS, driving the design and scalability of the services and integrations that power advertising across millions of devices.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and external partners to build reliable ad solutions, oversee integrations with ad servers and other ad tech providers, and ensure high standards of performance, scalability, and observability across the entire ads ecosystem.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design, architecture, and evolution of the Advertisement domain within the Smart TV OS.
• Own and drive integrations with ad servers, SSPs, DSPs, measurement providers, and other advertising partners.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of ad-related systems and integrations.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and architecture guidelines for the team.
• Collaborate with product, business, and partner teams to translate advertising requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers in software design, coding standards, and operational excellence.
• Establish and track SLAs, KPIs, and technical objectives for ad systems and integrations.
• Participate in roadmap definition and help set the long-term technical direction for the Advertisement area.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and with high quality.

Requirements

What makes you a great fit:

• Experience in AdTech, including ad servers, ad decisioning, ad delivery, reporting, or measurement systems.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• 5+ years of relevant experience as a JavaScript developer with React.
• Experience developing in Smart TVs, OTT, or video streaming platforms.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and production operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance business needs with technical quality.
• Love for writing clean, modular code in a fast-paced, agile development model.
• Experience developing efficient, highly scalable services.

Desirable skills

• Relevant experience as a Ruby/Rails developer.
• Expertise in SQL databases (MySQL/Postgres)
• Expertise in designing, implementing, and using RESTful APIs
• Experience deploying in AWS
• Experience in application observability
