What You Can Expect:

Are you an expert in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and eager to play a key role in implementing Blue Yonder WMS? Do you have experience in integration projects and the ability to translate business processes into smart IT solutions? Then we are looking for you as our WMS Consultant at Rhenus!

Your Role

As a WMS Consultant, you will be responsible for the successful implementation of Blue Yonder WMS within our logistics operations. You will work in a cross-functional project team, translating business requirements into effective IT solutions. Your tasks include configuring the WMS, supporting integrations, testing functionalities, troubleshooting issues, and training key users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Rhenus implementation teams with all tasks related to customer implementation projects within the IT/WMS policies of Rhenus. These include (but are not limited to) tuning requirements, configuration of BY WMS, drafting specifications for developments (interfaces, labels, and forms), testing solutions, training key users, Go-Live migration tasks, and resolution of incidents (troubleshooting).

  • Provide advice to solution design during the sales process, ensuring feasibility and alignment with WMS standards.

  • Participate in design sessions with the customer and other Rhenus disciplines such as logistics engineers, operations, others, to capture requirements and provide a detailed WMS solution design.

  • Support similar business projects such as process improvements and (customer) change requests.

  • Collect wishes from business stakeholders and drive implementation project teams to develop deliverable, SMART requirements within project timelines. Document the development specifications for business integrations (interfaces) with customers, forms, and labels. Challenge stakeholders to get approvals for requirements and development specifications.

  • Provide solutions within the configuration possibilities of BY WMS and challenge stakeholders to accept configurable solutions. If not possible (or significantly inefficient), define developments for extensions in consultation with Rhenus senior WMS experts (Solution Architects and Design Authority).

  • Ensure solutions maximize the available WMS solution standards (Rhenus "Core") and advocate for configurable solutions.

  • Within your expertise team of WMS consultants, provide guidance and support to junior employees (if applicable)

  • Act as second-line support for incidents and change requests.

You will work with our fellow consultants in the regional Northwest team on implementations in the Netherlands, the UK, and Denmark. Occasional travel may be required.

What We Offer

At Rhenus Warehousing Solutions, as a WMS Consultant, you will become part of a sustainable and ambitious work environment where personal development is key. There is plenty of room and freedom to develop yourself. We foster an entrepreneurial work atmosphere in which we encourage personal input and initiative. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer attractive fringe benefits. We appreciate your commitment and contribution and are happy to reward you for it. Besides:

  • A good pension plan;

  • Fast growing organization with various clients (Med/Tech & B2BC);

  • A personal flex budget that you can spend as you choose. Among other things, this can be used to buy leave days, personal development, company fitness or be paid out as an allowance;

  • Personal coaching and plenty of opportunities to grow (e.g. Rhenus Academy).

What You Bring:

You are a proactive and assertive professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You have a natural ability to fine-tune requirements within teams, always striving to find and propose the most optimal solutions within a project's scope. Collaboration comes easily to you-you work effectively with large business and IT teams, embracing new ideas and building upon them to drive success.

With an enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated mindset, you take ownership of your work and adapt quickly to new challenges, always looking for ways to innovate and improve. Furthermore, you bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, IT, or Industrial Engineering) or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience with integration projects for customers, preferably multi-location supply chains, with the responsibility to configure WMS.

  • Knowledge and experience with WMS and Blue Yonder Discrete is required

  • Knowledge of SQL, and experience in developing with reporting / labels tools is a plus (e.g. Jasper reports, Zebra tools)

  • Background in logistics and warehousing is preferred.

Are you ready to make an impact in the world of WMS? 🚀
