Compensation Range: $75,000 to $85,000
KEYRESPONSIBILITES:
Responsible forleadingtheeffective,efficientand comprehensive implementation ofOccupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS),Environmental Management System (EMS), developing a Safe and Healthful workplace for all Autosystemsworkers,contractorsand visitors. Some of the duties include:
Ensurethe OHSMS & EMS requirements areadministeredandmaintainedin accordance withISO45001, ISO14001,applicable legislation,andCorporate Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.
Accountable toConduct and/orparticipatewithall audits and inspections,includingpre-auditmanagementand data upload.
Provideinstruction and training on health and safety requiredlearningincluding onboarding/orientation ofnew employees.
DriveZero Harm suggestionprogramensuringyearly and quarterly goals are met,actions aresubmitted/closed and overallprogramKPIs areachieved.
Lead Occupational Injury Management includingcommunicating with WSIB and managingEarly and Safe Return to Work.
Conduct hazard assessments / audits within the plant(s) on equipment,machineryand tasks.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability tomaintainhighlevel of confidentiality.

Anunderstanding of the OHSA, Regulations and WSIA.

Manageaction plans,supportmonthly environmental, sustainability and energydata submissions in internal tracking system (HSELinx).
Manageoverallchemical inventory and Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuringaccuratemaintenance and compliance with WHMIS training and applicable legislation.
Manage Ergonomic actions andensure program is supportedincluding involvement inErgonomicsCommittee.
Leadincident investigationsensuring implementation of corrective actionsandensuredatais tracked ininternal tracking system (HSELinx)
Create Safety Alertsto ensure workers are notified of hazardsdiscovered due tosafety incidents.
Makerecommendations to Management to ensure continued improvement ofWorkplace Health,SafetyandEnvironmentalprograms.
LeadContractorManagement ensuringdocumentationis capturedfromallapplicable parties,asrequired.
Create and implementhealth and safety policies,proceduresand programs to reduce andeliminateinjuries and illnesses.
Driveactivities of theJoint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC),includingdrivingagenda andleading meetings.
Ensure due diligenceis achieved forinformation related to EHS training and programsand thatall communication boardsare up to date.
Drive MAFACT initiatives andsafety projects
Any and allother duties as assigned.
