Job scope/summary:
This role is accountable for shaping and delivering HP's future talent pipeline across APJ and EMEA by leading university recruitment and experience programs that reflect HP's Leadership Principles, culture, and innovation agenda.
The role drives end-to-end strategy, execution, and continuous transformation of university hiring, internship, and graduate programs-attracting, developing, and converting exceptional talent to help shape the future of technology.
With a strong focus on proactivity, data-driven decision-making, innovation, and automation, the role continuously evolves how HP designs, scales, and measures early-career talent programs to meet dynamic business needs, changing workforce expectations, and future skills demand.
Job specifics/responsibilities:
- Lead and own university recruiting strategy and execution across APJ and EMEA, driving proactive workforce planning, demand forecasting, and delivery excellence for multiple business units and geographies.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Director of Global University Programs by helping shape the global university talent agenda, translating priorities into regional execution, and ensuring alignment across global program objectives.
- Set strategic vision and direction for sourcing, school strategy, employer branding, and communications, leveraging inclusive practices, market insights, and innovative AI-enabled and automated recruiting solutions to build future-ready talent pipelines.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to automate processes, use AI, standardize ways of working, and scale best practices across regions, improving candidate experience, efficiency, and compliance.
- Apply AI, automation, and digital recruiting tools responsibly for improving productivity, decision quality, candidate engagement, and process consistency.
- Design consistent, engaging candidate and intern experiences across digital, in-person, and hybrid touchpoints to strengthen attraction, engagement, and conversion.
- Lead the design and execution of consistent, scalable intern and graduate onboarding and development programs, accountable for budgets, governance, tracking, approvals, and reporting across respective geographies.
- Drive strategic university partnerships and ecosystem relationships, continuously assessing core schools and related institutions to ensure alignment with HP's business priorities, skills strategy, and local legal and contractual frameworks.
- Ensure recruiting processes, university partnerships, and program operations align with regional compliance requirements, data privacy standards, employment practices, and HP governance expectations.
- Act as a consultant to business leaders, People Partners, and TA stakeholders, influencing decisions through data, insights, and market perspectives.
- Own metrics, analytics, and outcomes, following clear success measures, tracking performance, and translating data into actionable insights.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusivity, innovation, and growth, while acting in line with HP Leadership Principles and positive people leadership.
Key deliverables/accountabilities:
- Successful delivery of scalable, high-impact university hiring and programs across APJ and EMEA.
- Achievement of hiring, conversion, quality-of-hire, and CSAT outcomes aligned with business priorities.
- Continuous improvement and automation of university recruiting processes and programs.
- Strong stakeholder satisfaction and visible leadership impact across HR and the business.
Education (degree) and professional experience required:
- 8+ years' industry experience in Human Resources, University programs, Recruitment, and Management or equivalent degree level, with at least 1 year of experience as a team lead or managing people.
- Proven experience leading complex programs across regions and markets, ideally in a matrixed, global organization.
- Proven experience leading teams to successful outcomes through ambiguity and change, both in person and remotely.
- Proven experience developing people through coaching, providing stretch assignments, formal learning and project ownership.
