In this role, you will lead engineering efforts behind some of the most critical platforms that power our global fleet operations and revenue optimization capabilities. From fleet planning and lifecycle management to operational decision-making and logistics, your teams will build systems that enable data-driven strategies across hundreds of thousands of vehicles worldwide.

Working closely with product, data science, analytics, and business stakeholders, you will help design and scale solutions that forecast demand, optimize fleet utilization, and support strategic and real-time operational decisions. As we continue modernizing our core platforms, you will play a key role in building resilient, scalable systems that directly impact operational efficiency, customer experience, and business performance across our global mobility ecosystem.

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• Lead and develop high-performing engineering teams or engineering managers, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and technical excellence while championing the adoption of modern software development best practices with a strong emphasis on AI usage and agentic engineering.
• Empower teams to design and deliver scalable, reliable systems while promoting modern engineering practices and strong architectural thinking.
• Act as a servant leader by coaching, mentoring, and supporting autonomous teams in solving complex technical and organizational challenges.
• Partner closely with product leaders to shape product vision, translate business problems into technical solutions, and deliver measurable customer and business value.
• Drive execution and delivery across large cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, data science, analytics, and business stakeholders.
• Balance speed and quality by managing trade-offs between rapid delivery, system scalability, and long-term technical sustainability.

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams and delivering complex, high-impact technical products in fast-paced environments.
• Strong technical foundation with experience guiding teams through architecture, system design, and large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience building and operating cloud-based platforms using technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Ability to challenge technical assumptions, identify risks early, and support teams in designing robust and scalable solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical topics into business impact.
• Deep understanding of agile development practices and a strong feedback culture that promotes learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.
