Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree/diploma in food science, quality, related major or equivalent (food-related discipline).
- Food safety-related training (not mandatory) or Auditor qualification training (not mandatory).
- Internal Training – CATS Platform and client specific Training.
- Computer Literate.
- HACCP training.
- Working knowledge of Regulatory Food Safety Laws, Rules and Regulations, applicable to the country of retail.

Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
In conjunction with the business strategy set by the Divisional Business Manager and Operations Manager, visit the scheduled audit site/s communicated by the planners with the objective to assess site conditions prevailing in accordance with the provided audit standard to determine the level of compliance or non-compliance as the case may be, completing a site visit report and if required sample food products and taking of environmental food contact surfaces swabs for microbiological analysis and submission of same to the laboratory for testing/analysis in accordance with established SOP and defined Business procedures and provide all necessary pre and post audit support required to operations associated with all audit activities and report writing.
Specific Responsibilities
- Visit scheduled and identified assessment sites for the site assessment and or sampling, in accordance with the audit schedule provided by planning.
- Conduct the site assessments and sampling in compliance with global SOP policies and procedures.
- Perform all duties in accordance with the SGS Statement of Integrity, Policies, and Procedures.
- Issue and prepare accurate assessment reports, after assessment visits and load assessment reports on the audit assessment platform.
- Actively respond to any customer complaints and queries that are raised during and after the assessment process.
- Retain sufficient audit evidence for future reference purposes.
- Partake in any planned audit conference, calibration, or associated training sessions.
- Comply with any company and client specific KPI requirements specified and meeting specified report turnaround times.
