Requirements

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
  • Proficiency with metallurgical software and tools (e.g. Excel, metallurgical accounting systems)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role within the mining industry
  • Demonstrated expertise in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Physical fitness to perform on-site duties in potentially challenging environments
  • Willingness to work in remote locations and adapt to various roster patterns
  • Valid driver's licence 
  • Ability to obtain a Australian National Police Clearance
  • Australian Working rights

    Contract Metallurgists - Plant Metallurgist and Senior Metallurgist Roles

    We are recruiting for various site Metallurgists roles around Australia and overseas with a variety of rosters, location and commodities. FIFO / DIDO and residential opportunities. Experience is essential.

    Contract duration varies from 3-6 months with immediate starts.

    Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Overseeing day-to-day metallurgical operations on the plant
    • Implementing metallurgical test work results and optimisation strategies
    • Troubleshooting process issues and ensuring consistent recoveries
    • Maintaining key process documentation and reporting
    • Supporting the Metallurgy team in developing long-term metallurgical strategies
    • Committing to health, safety, and environmental standards across all activities
