Scopely is looking for a Senior Accounting Associate to join our Accounting team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis.

What You Will Do 

In this role, you'll work closely with senior leadership, fellow accountants, and other teams across our global offices, as well as with external auditors and advisors. You'll play a key role in supporting the monthly consolidation process, quarterly and annual financial reporting and audits under IFRS and US GAAP, technical research, and process improvements with a strong focus on automation, accuracy and efficiency.

  • Perform the monthly consolidation procedures, including translation, eliminations and consolidation
  • Review the reconciliation of Intercompany accounts and schedules to support financial statements and footnote disclosures
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports under IFRS and US GAAP, including tie-out and cross-check of P&L, balance sheets, cash flow, and supporting schedules
  • Automate recurring reports and trackers to minimise manual work and improve accuracy
  • Streamline the creation of supporting schedules for quarterly and annual financial filings
  • Coordinate with external auditors on requests and walkthroughs
  • Ensure all financial documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation and checklists
  • Assist with general ad hoc projects

What We're Looking For 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 3+ years of experience in audit, accounting, or finance
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Oracle
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new tools and systems
  • A self-starter with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organization skills, and the ability to work efficiently without compromising quality
  • Ability to work well with a team and autonomously at times
  • A desire to take on challenges and grow with the role
  • Strong English language skills are required for this role as we have a highly diverse and global business
