We are looking for a Trust & Safety Policy Lead. As a member of the Customer Experience team, you'll join the Trust & Safety team to shape and scale Preply's global safety policies and marketplace integrity frameworks. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and evolving our policies, partnering closely with operations on enforcement, and monitoring the regulatory landscape to translate requirements into scalable solutions for our platform. You will contribute to building the core processes and infrastructure that support our safety function.

What you'll be doing:

  • Policy development and governance

    • Own and evolve Trust & Safety policies across key risk areas.

    • Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear and enforceable policies.

    • Define policy frameworks, standards and governance processes.

  • Monitor the regulatory landscape

    • Track global regulatory developments and assess their impact on Preply

    • Partner with Legal to ensure readiness and alignment

    • Proactively identify policy gaps, risks and emerging trends

  • Policy implementation and impact

    • Support the rollout and operationalisation of policies across internal teams, tutors and learners

    • Define success metrics and evaluate policy effectiveness using data

    • Continuously iterate on policies based on insights, enforcement outcomes, and user impact

  • Cross functional partnership

    • Advise internal teams on safety risks and policy implications and embed safety-by-design principles into ways of working at Preply

    • Collaborate with Customer Care, Analytics, Legal, Product and Engineering to ensure consistent policy enforcement

What you need to succeed:

  • 5-7 years experience in Trust and Safety, policy or content moderation in high-growth tech environments

  • Proven experience owning end-to-end policy development including familiarity with LLMs and AI safety principles

  • Strong track record of translating complex policies and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance

  • Familiarity with global online safety regulations and ability to assess their impact on platform policies

  • Ability to use data to evaluate policy effectiveness and drive continuous improvement

  • Experience operating in multi-sided platforms and working cross-functionally with CX, Legal, Product and Analytics
