Territorial Distribution Specialist Technician (Barcelona).

The Redes Gas España business is responsible for the distribution of natural gas and renewable gas and operates nationwide (Spain). As a distribution company, it is responsible for the development, operation, and maintenance of more than 53,800 km of gas network to which more than 5.4 M supply points are connected in nearly 1,150 municipalities. The main activities it carries out are: commissioning, meter reading, periodic inspection, and response to alerts. Your daily challenges will be oriented towards:

  • Supervising assigned operations, including those requiring the assumption of technical management responsibility and higher complexity operations, in the execution of the most relevant milestones, managing changes or incidents required during their development, in accordance with internal regulations and current legislation, in order to ensure compliance with the budget, planned deadline, and safety, risk prevention, quality control, and environmental protocols. Managing the necessary requirements for the execution of assigned operations, ensuring the update of the corresponding information in the Company's systems.
  • Managing, when the scale of the activity so requires, the scheduling of assigned works, completing the milestones associated with their economic monitoring and requesting the collaboration of other supervision resources when the complexity or duration of the work recommends it. Carrying out, when necessary, the necessary steps to ensure that the operations under their responsibility meet the Technical Management requirements stipulated by the current applicable regulations at any given time.
  • Resolving assigned claims and collaborating, at the request of other business units, in the resolution of other third-party claims: requirements from the General Directorate of Industry (DGI), municipal ordinance infractions, and in general, appeals and allegations before any administration derived from the execution of operations or referring to facilities owned by the business. Preparing reports on damages to third parties or from third parties when requested, collaborating in their management before the competent authorities and administrations.
  • At the request of other business units, capturing information in the field, preparing specific reports on the distribution network elements and their environment. Acting locally in processes triggered by decentralized business units.
  • In the development of the function for the gas sector: supervising, when required, the operations of the maintenance plan according to applicable legal and internal regulations, generating result reports in the systems and correcting defined defects, as well as emergency response alerts both in the distribution network and auxiliary installations as well as receiving installations.
  • Developing periodic refresher activities with the aim of maintaining the knowledge and capabilities necessary to execute all field operations within their management scope and professional capacity.
