Build upon your classroom studies through our Hotel Internship Program opportunities. You will learn first-hand about a hotel's operations. Our Hotel Internship Program allows you to truly experience the industry from the ground up, where our founders and many of our leaders began. You will get immersed in Marriott's culture and business and find your true calling in the travel industry. Our internships are typically available in many different areas of the hotel. Functions and Learning Areas
- Familiarization with physical security systems: General understanding of the operation of key security systems, especially those based on access control.
- Support in access control and credentials: Participation in basic tasks related to the management of access rights, badges, and keys, gaining an understanding of associated processes and policies.
- Exposure to visitor and guest management: Collaboration in visitor registration and monitoring processes, acquiring insight into security practices within corporate environments.
- Interaction with external and contracted personnel: Understanding protocols for access and supervision of third parties within facilities from a security perspective.
- Introduction to CCTV systems and data protection: Learning about the use of video surveillance systems and their relationship with data protection regulations (LOPD/GDPR), including best practices.
- Knowledge of regulations and compliance: Introduction to local laws applicable to physical security and how they integrate with international corporate standards.
- Participation in audit processes: Support and observation during security audits, understanding their structure, objectives, and requirements.
- Global view of corporate physical security: Development of a comprehensive understanding of various security systems and processes, including access control, CCTV, visitor management, and operational coordination.
- Learning corporate standards: Exposure to security policies, procedures, and best practices within a multinational environment.
