Job Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Under the direction of the general manager, the quality manager manages the company's quality department and quality system to ensure only qualityproducts areshipped to customers.

RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY:

  • Responsible for managing salaried engineers, quality technicians, and all quality support personnel.

  • Responsible for coordination and preparation of Control Plans, and inspection instructions/check sheets asrequired.

  • Follows and supports Magna Structures Tennessee LLC.and Magna's operating principles, including:

  • Magna Employee Charter - Operating under its principles by treating all associates equally, fairly and with dignity and respect.

  • Open Door Policy - Solves issues with two-way,open,and friendly communication.

  • 5S - Maintains and promotes good housekeeping by following the philosophy "Everything has a place. Everything in its place."

  • Safety First - Obey the plant's safety rules and procedures by wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) andimmediatelyaddressing all safety concerns.Promotes an environment where zero injuries are the expected standard.

  • Supports efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:

  • Manage/Supervise all personnel and aspects of the Quality Department

  • Develop a Quality Assurance/Control program, tocomply withall customer requirements.

  • Prepare and update Quality system procedures/policies asrequired.

  • Develop/approve gauging fornew programsor gage revisions to existing programs.

  • Customer and/or supplier liaison for quality problems/concerns.

  • Assistwith sample submissions.

  • Develop/coordinate Customer quality systems within this company.

  • Encourage development and implementation of continuous improvement within the company.

  • Communicates customerrequirementsto necessary personnel.

  • Serve as "Management Representative" as required by AIAG TS16949.

  • Performs other duties asrequired.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to effectively and appropriately present information and respond to questions from various groups.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data,establishfacts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret internal procedures, documents and processes, internal and customer requirements, flow diagrams, and business correspondences.

  • Ability to develop processes for effectiveoperation.

  • Ability to readblueprints.

  • Must have good organizational and managerial skills toattend tomultiple tasks simultaneously.
