This role is employed by Horse Powertrain Solutions and is based in Madrid, Spain, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain's other sites.

What you will be doing

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will support complex commercial transactions across multiple regions and business units. You will work closely with Purchasing, Sales, Operations, Engineering, Finance and other cross‑functional stakeholders to secure contracts that protect the company's interests while enabling business growth.

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of purchasing and sales contracts, including framework agreements, supply contracts, tooling agreements, service agreements, confidentiality agreements, and commercial amendments.

• Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders on contract structure, risks, liabilities, warranties, and compliance requirements.

• Support contract lifecycle management and contribute to the improvement of internal templates and negotiation guidelines.

• Collaborate with regional teams to ensure contractual alignment across regions.

• Manage contract‑related disputes, claims, or escalations when necessary.

• Contribute to continuous process optimization in a fast‑paced organizational environment.

What we're looking for

• A proven track record in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, within an industrial or international environment, experience managing multiple priorities and supporting teams in a solution-oriented way.

• Bachelor and/or Master's degree in Law, Business or equivalent.

• Outstanding communication and business acumen skills.

• Strong understanding of purchasing/sales dynamics and contract risks skills, coupled with a collaborative mindset.

• Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory; good working knowledge of Spanish, French or Chinese would be an advantage.
