ICS Milan is a thriving, dynamic international school offering a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum across multiple educational programmes, including IGCSE, MYP, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP). We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Mathematics with a strong background in the IB DP curriculum. Key Responsibilities:

• Teach high school Mathematics courses as part of the IB Diploma Programme (IB DP), including Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL), ensuring the delivery of engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons;

• Teach classes in IGCSE and /or MYP ( dependent on experience);

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the IB DP curriculum and promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning;

• Assess students' progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to encourage academic growth;

• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that caters to the diverse learning needs of students, using differentiated teaching strategies;

• Encourage a growth mindset and develop students' passion for mathematics, helping them build essential skills for their future academic and professional endeavours.

• Lead the Math department and collaborate with colleagues in the department and across the school to share best practices and resources.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a closely related field. A Master's degree or further qualification is preferred.

• Teaching certification, with preference given to those with an IB DP Mathematics teaching qualification or experience.

• Proven experience teaching IB DP Mathematics (both Higher Level and Standard Level) or equivalent experience in international education.

• Familiarity with the IGCSE and MYP curricula is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of the principles and practices of inquiry-based learning and assessment in the IB system.
