About the role 💼

As a Finance Operations Intern at Flanks, you'll sit within the Product Team and work directly with the Finance Operations team to clear a backlog of support tickets that require financial expertise. Your work has a direct and immediate impact: developers and support teams are blocked until these tickets get answered, and you're the one unblocking them. This is a hands-on, ownership-driven internship - not a shadowing role.

What you'll do 🛠️

Here's what you can expect to work on:

• Own the resolution of support tickets requiring financial input - handling them end-to-end, from analysis to documented answer, with increasing autonomy over time.

• Review and validate financial data from different custodians, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the platform.

• Document findings, decisions, and answers in a structured way so other teams can reference and reuse them without having to ask twice.

• Collaborate directly with Tech and Support teams to clarify requirements, resolve dependencies, and keep things moving efficiently.

• Contribute to reducing the ticket backlog and improving Finance Operations response times - tracked metrics you'll own from day one.

What we'd love to see 😍

• Solid understanding of financial products and investment concepts - you can navigate questions about data mappings and custodian data without needing everything explained from scratch.

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to find answers independently, even when the path isn't obvious.

• Attention to detail and a high bar for accuracy when working with financial data.

• Clear, structured communication - written answers that are precise enough for developers and support teams to act on without follow-up.

• Proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership from the start, not waiting to be assigned every task.

• Language proficiency: Fluent in English, intermediary Spanish. French is a plus 🗣️.
