Agentic AI Engineer - Staff - EY GDS Spain - Hybrid

The opportunity

We are looking for a talented AI Engineer to design and deliver cutting‑edge agentic solutions, building intelligent workflows and LLM‑powered systems that transform how our clients operate.

As a member of our team in the EY GDS Spain office in Malaga, you'll have a chance to extend your knowledge & experience by working on interesting projects with the newest technologies and approaches. You'll support clients in choosing the most suitable business solution and take part in digital transformation.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Develop agentic AI solutions using open‑source and low‑code/no‑code platforms (e.g., Dify, Flowise, Langflow, n8n), building multi‑step workflows and integrating LLMs into production‑ready applications.
• RAG pipelines: Build and maintain retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines (indexing, chunking, embeddings, retrieval strategies, grounding) to provide agents with reliable context.
• Systems integration: Connect agents to enterprise systems (APIs, databases, document repositories, workflow/messaging platforms) with secure credentials and structured I/O.
• Observability & evaluation of AI solutions: Implement telemetry (logs, traces, metrics), evaluate agent behaviour (quality, safety, latency, hallucination/tool‑use failures), and support continuous improvement.
• Prompt engineering: Develop, test, and optimize prompts using offline/online evaluations, scenario/adversarial tests, and reliability patterns such as self‑critique, validation, and fallbacks.
• Cross‑functional collaboration: Work with engineers, data scientists, and SMEs to translate Financial Services/Banking processes into scalable agentic solutions; contribute to documentation, runbooks, and deployments across environments.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• 2-4 years as AI engineer, LLMOps engineer or related roles.
• Hands‑on experience with agentic AI platforms (open‑source and/or low‑code/no‑code) such as Dify, Flowise, Langflow, or n8n, including building multi‑step workflows and integrating LLMs into applications.
• Agentic workflow development: experience designing agentic workflows that plan, reason, and execute multi‑step tasks with appropriate guardrails, error handling, routing, and human‑in‑the‑loop steps.
• Strong Python skills, including API clients, data processing, and modular service development.
• Experience working in rapid‑prototyping and enterprise‑grade AI environments following LLMOps best practices.
• Solid understanding of agentic patterns (planning, tool‑use, memory, structured outputs) and RAG design (vector stores, embeddings, retrieval strategies, grounding).
• Familiarity with observability stacks, evaluation frameworks, and quality/safety assessment for LLMs and agents.
• Interest or experience in Financial Services/Banking domains (onboarding, risk, ops, compliance, regulatory processes); FinCrime/AML/KYC exposure is a plus.
