Data Center Technician

We are a telecommunications operator present in the Spanish market since 2008, offering fixed and mobile telephony and internet services, as well as television. We have our own high-performance fiber optic network that allows us to be leaders in internet access speed; focused on the residential segment, we have our own stores and a wide distribution network for the commercialization of our services throughout Spain.

Job Description

We are looking to incorporate a Technician into the Data Center department to perform the following functions:

• Execution of installations and configurations of telecommunications equipment in the Company's Data Centers and FTTH Headends.
• Laying and installation of communications cabling (UTP / Fiber optics).
• Troubleshooting and resolution of incidents in Data Centers and FTTH Headends (equipment, networks, connections, support, and applications).
• Execution of preventive and corrective maintenance in the Company's Data Centers and FTTH Headends.
• Remote hands with telephone support in English.
• Integration into a highly motivated, dynamic professional team oriented towards continuous improvement.
• Weekly availability shifts (on-call and on-site).
• Basic configuration and management of LAN/WAN environments (Data Centers with Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Nokia, Fortinet technologies, storage servers, etc..).

Job Requirements

• Minimum experience of more than 3 years in Data Center environments, installation and maintenance of network equipment, FTTH deployments, etc.
• Basic level of English to be able to communicate via email and/or telephone.
• Experience and knowledge in AC/DC electrical installations, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), rectifiers, fire suppression, and HVAC will be valued.
• Motivated to improve response capacity regarding recovery, security, data and information backup, contributing to their protection and attending to administrative obligations, thus allowing the evolution of technology by implementing new systems and solutions with the aim of constantly improving service quality.
• Knowledge of structured cabling networks and fiber optics.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networks.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Organized and with great attention to detail.
• Good communication via telephone/email in English.

Descripción de la oferta

Buscamos incorporar en el departamento de Data Center, un Técnico/a para realizar las siguientes funciones:

• Ejecución de instalaciones y configuraciones de equipos de telecomunicaciones en los Data Centers y Cabeceras FTTH de la Compañía.
• Tendido e instalación de cableado de comunicaciones (UTP / Fibra óptica).
• Troubleshooting y resolución de incidencias en los Data Centers y Cabeceras FTTH (equipos, redes, conexiones, soporte y aplicaciones).
• Ejecución del mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo en los Data Centers y Cabeceras FTTH de la Compañía.
• Manos remotas con soporte telefónico en inglés.
• Integración en un equipo de profesionales altamente motivado, dinámico y orientado a la mejora continua.
• Guardias semanales de disponibilidad (on-call y on-site).
• Configuración básica y gestión de entornos LAN/WAN (Data Centers con tecnologías Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Nokia, Fortinet, servidores de almacenamiento, etc..).

Requisitos del puesto

• Experiencia mínima de más de 3 años en entornos Data Centers, instalaciones y mantenimiento de equipos de red, despliegues FTTH, etc.
• Nivel de inglés básico para poder comunicarse por correo y/o por teléfono.
• Se valorará experiencia y conocimientos en instalaciones eléctricas AC/DC, sistemas de alimentación ininterrumpida (SAI), rectificadores, extinción, climatización.
• Motivado para mejorar la capacidad de respuesta en cuanto a recuperación, seguridad, respaldo de datos e información y que contribuya a la protección de los mismos y atender las obligaciones administrativas, permitiendo así la evolución de la tecnología implementando nuevos sistemas y soluciones con el objetivo de mejorar constantemente la calidad de los servicios.
• Conocimientos de redes de cableado estructurado y fibra óptica.
• Conocimiento básico de redes TCP/IP.
• Conocimientos de Microsoft Office.
• Organizado y gran atención al detalle.
• Buena comunicación por teléfono/email en inglés.
