***This position is for a four (4) month contract for a Maintenance Technician in Hamilton, Ontario***

About the role

The primary responsibilities of this role include day-to-day maintenance and general upkeep of the grounds and building(s), including preventive maintenance programs. You will also provide guidance and problem-solving to contracted employees to ensure the efficient and cost-effective completion of repairs and maintenance.

• Overseeing general tidiness of property (95% exterior & 5% interior) and assisting contracted staff with seasonal duties, including landscaping, mowing, snow, and garbage removal.

• Monitor the daily pickup of garbage, cardboard and recycling.

• Planning, prioritizing, performing and monitoring preventative maintenance, including: painting, plumbing and other minor repairs as required.

• Responding to and completing service requests in a timely manner.

• Performing daily inspections of the property (internal/external).

• Power washing of sidewalks and buildings as required.

• Exterior painting of doors, trim, and bollards

• Assisting with the set-up and take-down of promotional events.

• Working outdoors during different weather conditions.

• Completion of minor repairs to the parking lot, such as potholes (Cold Patch)

• Maintain rooftop cleanliness and ensure drains are clear and RTUs are in good condition.

• Identifying areas of concern and reporting to the Operations Manager.

• You will be required to visit multiple sites.

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 1-2 years working in a similar capacity.

• Ability to lift 30lbs throughout the day.

• Ability to walk the site all day long.

• Customer Service oriented and enjoy working with tenants, staff, and contractors alike.

• Ability to respond promptly to tenant requests.

• A valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Approximate Salary Range for Role: $42,000 to $48,000

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
