Original Advert
As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, with a strong focus on elevating management practices, driving compensation excellence, and shaping people strategy.
This is a Barcelona-based role, working directly with the CEO and business leaders, while staying closely connected with our Istanbul headquarters and leadership teams to ensure strong alignment across locations.
You will play a key role in building scalable, high-quality HR foundations, coaching managers, strengthening performance and salary review processes, and partnering closely with HR Operations to ensure consistent, data-driven execution across the employee lifecycle.
This role requires high autonomy, ownership, and a proactive mindset - you won't just execute processes, but challenge the status quo and bring forward better ways of doing things.
Key Responsibilities
◦ Partner with leaders to translate business strategy into clear people priorities, with a strong focus on manager effectiveness, team performance, and retention.
◦ Work closely with the CEO, business leaders, Barcelona-based teams, and Istanbul leadership to support strong coordination across locations.
◦ Build and embed best practices for managers: performance conversations, feedback culture, goal setting, and team health, raising the overall quality of leadership across the organisation.
◦ Own and continuously improve performance and salary review cycles, ensuring fairness, consistency, and strong calibration across teams.
◦ Drive and evolve compensation & benefits practices: benchmarking, internal equity, salary frameworks, and decision-making guidelines.
◦ Act as a coach and thought partner to managers-supporting them in complex situations, developing their leadership capabilities, and holding a high bar for people management.
◦ Lead complex employee relations topics with a balanced, pragmatic, and compliant approach.
◦ Collaborate closely with HR Operations to ensure policies, processes, and data are scalable, consistent, and well-executed.
◦ Use data and insights to challenge decisions, identify gaps, and propose actionable improvements across people initiatives.
◦ Proactively identify organisational needs and drive initiatives that improve effectiveness, engagement, and long-term scalability.
◦ Help shape people practices that work effectively across our Barcelona and Istanbul teams.
Why this role
You'll have a direct impact on how the company scales, shaping people management practices, compensation practices, and core people processes. This is a role for someone who wants to go beyond execution and actively influence how things are done, bringing structure, clarity, and better standards as the organisation grows.
You'll also play a key role in Codeway's next phase of growth in Barcelona, while staying closely connected to our Istanbul roots and existing people systems.
