As a leading company in the industry, Avature is staying on top of the market by applying innovative machine-learning techniques to support recruiters, managers, and job candidates through automation.As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer on our team, you will work on systems used by millions of users, designing, developing, and maintaining the software modules that enable semantic search, matching, and résumé parsing, among others.

- Work on building an AI-powered product that supports human resources.
- Design, implement, and optimize innovative ML algorithms to tackle challenging technical problems in semantic search, candidate-job matching, entity linking, and agentic automation.
- Achieve deep knowledge of a world-leading SaaS platform by working on a product that involves several areas of computer science, such as high availability, scalability, top-notch security, and intuitive user interface design.
- Learn and collaborate with different teams and grow while tackling complex technical challenges in a fun and encouraging working environment.
- Design, develop, and maintain the software modules that support automation in various areas of talent acquisition and talent management.
- Implement, optimize, and productize ML models using deep learning and other advanced techniques.
- Interact with other teams to get internal and external feedback and improve AI-powered tools, such as semantic search and agentic automation.
- Work with functional specifications of features (specs): interpret, analyze, and give feedback.
- Perform technical analysis of existing code, refactoring to improve code quality, and code review.
- Promote and apply best practices of the development process of machine learning-enabled software, from the very early stages of technical analysis and design of solutions, all the way to supporting productization.
- PhD, Master's, or industry experience in machine learning, NLP, computer science, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art machine learning and/or NLP.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
- Peer-reviewed papers in relevant publications are a plus.
- Fluency in Python.
- Knowledge or experience in deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow or PyTorch).
- Experience orchestrating Generative AI workflows or developing Generative AI agents is a plus.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
