About the Project:
The Malabar System Alliance delivers a major wastewater renewal program for Sydney Water. ACCIONA, SMEC and Sydney Water partner to upgrade and expand treatment capacity across Sydney's south and west. The program improves system performance, boosts environmental outcomes, and supports population growth. Works span multiple sites and involve complex infrastructure upgrades. This long-term program strengthens Sydney's essential water services.

About the Opportunity:
As Senior Health and Safety Advisor you lead safety outcomes across the Malabar System Alliance. You guide construction and operational teams, partner with delivery leads, and support site leadership. You drive compliance, build capability, and influence safe behaviours across multiple wastewater upgrade sites.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead HSE strategy across project sites

  • Advise leaders on risk and compliance

  • Conduct audits and drive close-out actions

  • Support incident response and investigation

  • Coach teams to lift safety performance

  • Review high-risk work and permits

  • Monitor trends and improve controls

Required Skills and Competencies

  • WHS qualification

  • Major infrastructure project experience

  • Strong stakeholder engagement

  • ICAM investigation skills
