Position Overview

Zynga is seeking an Animator to join a dynamic team of one of Zynga's most established games. We are looking for driven individuals to contribute to the growth and development of our product in a highly-collaborative environment. The ideal candidate must be able to work with talented contributors from different disciplines and bring a unique perspective to the table. Applicants must have an understanding of animation principles and be able to use a range of techniques to drive high quality visuals with a limited toolset.

What You Will Do:

The Animator will be working with a team of designers, concept artists, technical artists and software engineers to develop amazing animation and special effects. The Animator's duties consist primarily of 2D animation, specifically symbols, logos, environments, vfx and character animations.
Encouraging and generating creative ideas and solutions with the team.
Other duties include packing texture sheets, creating and animating particle systems, implementing animations into our game engine and art asset optimization. The ideal candidate has well-rounded experience in a game pipeline.

What You Bring:

2+ years of game development experience.
Strong principles of Design and Animation (2D/3D, character, environment, UI, VFX)
Strong communication and problem solving skills.
The ability to provide and receive feedback.
Software experience in: Maya, Unity, Photoshop, Perforce, Git
Technical experience modeling, skinning and rigging 2D/3D assets/characters.
Knowledge of game development on multiple projects, enabling pragmatic, strategic judgements and providing creative ideas and solutions to the team.
Proven experience delivering animations on ambitious timelines.
An openness to learn, adapt, and be flexible in a highly collaborative team.
A strong showreel that demonstrates animation principles and skills.
