Role

As a Data Platform Solution Architect, you will define and lead the architecture of next-generation data platforms on Azure. You will bridge business ambition and technical execution, enabling scalable, secure, and high-performing data ecosystems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end data platforms on Azure
• Define architecture standards, best practices, and governance for data platforms
• Architect and optimize data solutions leveraging Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric
• Drive infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent)
• Establish and enforce CI/CD best practices for data and platform deployments
• Ensure platform scalability, reliability, security, and compliance
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust data architectures
• Act as a technical reference for Data Engineering and platform-related topics
• Mentor and guide engineering teams on architecture and best practices
• Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging technologies into the platform strategy

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you bring:

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, or Cloud Architecture
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing data platforms on Azure
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric
• Solid background in Data Engineering (batch, streaming, data modeling, pipelines)
• Proven experience with infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform)
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for data platforms
• Strong understanding of data platform security (IAM, encryption, governance, compliance)
• Experience building scalable, cloud-native architectures
• Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders on technical strategy
• Excellent communication skills and experience mentoring teams
