We are looking for a (Senior) Sourcing Manager Packaging who will play a key role in shaping our future sourcing and marketing strategy by leading projects that create value and support our brand image.

About the job
As (Senior) Sourcing Manager Packaging you will play a key role in shaping and executing our global procurement strategy for the packaging and communication materials category. This role is accountable for delivering cost competitiveness, supplier performance, resilient supply and packaging innovation, while supporting sustainability commitments and enabling new product launches.

The exciting position partners closely with Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to encompass End to End cost solutions.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute strategic category plans for Packaging and Communication Materials in alignment with global procurement policies and long-term supply chain network requirements.
  • Lead and analyze complex data related to end-to-end sourcing processes for Packaging and Communications Materials from market reports and supplier identification to tendering, evaluation, and contract negotiation.
  • Oversee multiple sourcing projects, ensuring measurable savings and effective prioritization.
  • Act as the primary interface between Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Marketing and suppliers to ensure quality, commercial conditions, and project objectives are fully aligned.
  • Drive supplier selection and qualification processes, ensuring compliance with internal standards, legal requirements, and risk management frameworks.
  • Promote continuous improvement in procurement processes, including standardization, digitalization, and best practice sharing across the organization.
  • Implement and monitor sustainability and ESG requirements within the PACKAGING supply base, ensuring responsible sourcing and proactive risk mitigation.

About you

We are looking for a unique and amazing talent, who brings along the following:

  • University degree and a minimum of 5 years of procurement experience within packaging or related products with an extensive analytical background.
  • Experience working with Marketing Stakeholders to support campaign and product launches including supporting packaging development.
  • Knowledge of supply chains including Incoterms and risk.
  • Deep procurement expertise, including purchasing guidelines, contract law, analytics, process and risk management.
  • Strong strategic sourcing experience with the ability to design and implement data driven negotiation strategies using advanced analytics and scenario modeling.
  • Experience overseeing strategic supplier relationship management, supported by risk assessment, benchmarking platforms, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Skilled in applying predictive analytics to evaluate outcomes and provide actionable recommendations
  • Strong project management skills
  • Fluency in English is required. German or French appreciated but not mandatory.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP/ARIBA, S2C processes, and MS Office, particularly excel and Power point.
  • Excellent communicator, able to influence and build trust with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and resilient, with continuous improvement and can-do mindset.
  • Proven team player who consistently delivers impactful outcomes in both cross-functional and hierarchical settings.
