Original Advert

As a Senior Analyst, Global Rights and Clearances, you'll lead end-to-end rights clearances across APAC-negotiating and securing the permissions needed for Spotify-produced content and campaigns on and off platform. You'll work with a high level of ownership, partnering directly with local and regional rights holders to keep projects moving while managing risk thoughtfully.

You'll handle a mix of large-scale and one-off licenses for third-party content used in productions such as live performances, performance footage, marketing, events, and Spotify Studios projects. You'll also ensure rights information is captured accurately-negotiating terms and fees, maintaining cue sheets, and tracking approvals through our clearance and rights management tools.

In this role, you'll be a trusted partner to teams across the business, providing clear, practical guidance on third-party content usage and helping teams make informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Who You Are

  • You have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in entertainment, media, and/or digital content, with hands-on rights clearances and licensing work (in-house or agency/vendor)
  • You have a strong working knowledge of synchronization, content rights, and the APAC rights landscape (including local market practices and key stakeholders)
  • You bring established relationships with local and regional rights holders across APAC, and know how to build trust quickly with new partners
  • You're comfortable owning work independently, making sound judgment calls, and escalating thoughtfully when needed
  • You have strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills, and can translate legal/rights concepts into practical guidance
  • You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to run multiple workstreams in parallel without losing track of the details
  • You take a proactive, solutions-focused approach and stay calm when priorities shift
  • You're confident working across time zones and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-moving environment

Where You'll Be

  • This role is based in Sydney, Australia or Singapore.
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
  • We ask that you come in 2-3 times per week.
  • This role primarily collaborates during APAC business hours, with flexibility to partner with global teams across time zones.
