About the role:

Are you a seasoned QA Engineer who thrives in an agile environment and enjoys balancing manual and automation testing? Do you love working with modern tools like Postman, Reqnroll, Playwright, and Azure? Then we might just be the right fit for you!

You'll be part of a cross-functional team working on the Dimona Rewrite - a critical legal process we must fulfill towards the Belgian government. The current system is built on legacy technologies, and we're now rebuilding it from the ground up using modern tools and frameworks. This is a high-impact project where quality, reliability, and forward-thinking are key.

Which tasks can you expect?

• Testing of both frontend applications and backend application with complex business logic

• Collaborate closely with developers, product owner and functional analyst to ensure software quality.

• Design and maintain test scenarios - both manual and automated.

• Perform API testing using Postman and automate end-to-end tests with Playwright.

• Contribute to improving our testing processes and strategies.

• Actively challenge assumptions and raise potential issues early in the development cycle.

• Participate in and occasionally facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Mentor and support junior QA engineers in testing techniques and best practices.

What do you have to offer?

• At least 5 years of experience in QA, with a strong mix of manual and automation testing.

• Experience in SQL to explore and verify test data

• A keen interest in learning the business logic behind payroll services

• A critical mindset - you're not afraid to ask "why", challenge decisions, and dig deeper.

• Strong communication skills - you can clearly articulate issues, collaborate effectively, and help drive quality across the team.

• Hands-on experience with Postman, Reqnroll, Playwright, and working in an Azure environment is a plus

• Ability to provide Estimates / Story Points on User Stories.

• Experience working in agile teams is a plus.
