Scopely is looking for a Principal Data Analyst to join the Looney Tunes team in Bangalore on a hybrid basis!

What You Will Do
As the analytics leader embedded within the game team, you will own the analytical vision across product, LiveOps, economy, monetization, and player lifecycle. You will translate complex data into clear strategic insights that directly shape roadmap priorities, feature design, event strategy, and revenue optimization. This is a high-impact role partnering closely with Product, Economy, Game Design, UA, and Leadership.
- Analyze large, complex datasets representing the behavior of our players to inform strategic decisions across retention, monetization, LiveOps, and economy design
- Define and evolve the KPI framework for Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem, ensuring clear visibility into game performance and player health
- Translate data into actionable insights that directly influence roadmap priorities, feature design, and event strategy
- Design, implement, and evaluate A/B tests to measure feature impact and optimize player experience and revenue outcomes
- Partner closely with Product, Game Design, Economy, and Leadership to align on priorities and ensure analytics is central to decision-making
- Build and maintain scalable dashboards and reporting that empower stakeholders with timely, reliable insights
- Proactively identify high-impact opportunities and risks across the player lifecycle, and frame ambiguous business problems into structured analytical roadmaps
- Leadership Expectations
- Act as the analytics owner for Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem, setting the analytical vision and raising the bar on how data informs product strategy
- Influence senior stakeholders by connecting data insights to long-term game strategy and revenue growth
- Establish best practices in experimentation, measurement, and KPI governance within the game team
- Mentor, and develop other analysts on the team, supporting their growth in both technical and business impact areas
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in data analytics, with strong experience in free-to-play mobile gaming
- Proven ability to drive measurable impact on retention, monetization, LiveOps performance, or game economy optimization
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large-scale player-level datasets
- Strong understanding of experimentation frameworks, statistical analysis, and performance measurement
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally and influencing product decisions through data storytelling
- Proficiency in data visualization tools and cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Looker etc) as well as advanced Excel/Google Sheets
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis
- Strong critical thinking, structured problem-solving, and communication skills
- Passion for mobile games and deep curiosity about player behavior
