Overview
The Tax Manager is responsible for the review of the complete income tax cycle for the Frito Lay and NASS operations. These responsibilities include forecasting the effective tax rate, review of the income tax provision, review of federal and state income tax compliance, research and planning, and audit defense for both federal and state income taxes. This role conducts state income tax audits directly with auditors.
Responsibilities
This person will assist the FL/NASS Tax Director in their review of the complete income tax cycle for the two divisions. This role is being expanded to include ownership and accountability for the NASS division with limited oversight.
Tax Forecasting
- Forecast the effective and cash tax rates for planning and quarterly reporting.
- Provide financial analysis to support tax planning initiatives and projects.
- This role provides consultation and executes action for this accountability.
Tax Accounting
- Review junior level FL FAS 109 calculation.
- Prepares more complicated FL FAS 109 calculations
- Reviews NASS FAS 109 calculation.
- Verify tax accounting accuracy and maintain policies and procedures.
- Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
- This role provides consultation and executes action for this accountability.
Research and Planning
- Identify and support initiatives to deliver the lowest sustainable effective tax rate.
- Identify and support projects which will reduce the current cash tax rate.
- Represent the Tax Department with the business units, aligning tax department resources to resolving.
- Communicate relevant tax data to facilitate planning efforts.
- This role provides consultation and executes action for this accountability.
Tax Compliance
- Review the preparation of the federal income tax returns for the FLNA and NASS division companies which are included in the consolidated PepsiCo, Inc. filing.
- Review the preparation of the FLNA and NASS division separate state income and franchise tax returns and the assigned PepsiCo state income tax unitary filings.
- Review provision to return calculation.
- This role makes decisions, provides consultation and executes action for this accountability.
Management
- Foster an environment of trust and inclusion.

Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $110,700 - $185,250.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
