πŸ€“ ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Business Development (IST) Specialist will be key member of the Business Development team and will report to Business Development Manager. The position's main objective will be to identify, pursue, develop, and negotiate/close business opportunities that align with MEDSIR's capabilities to achieve strategic objectives in the pre-established time frames.

🎯 HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Propose, establish, and maintain relationships with an extended network of existing and potential funders for clinical development strategy acting as primary point of contact for all business-related inquiries.

  • Proactively identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities, expanding our network of existing and potential funders for clinical development strategy

  • Identify and study new companies that could need clinical development strategy, examining risks and potential of future collaborations, and estimating partners' needs and goals.

  • Propose, establish, and maintain relationships with other stakeholders in independent clinical research, such as Private Foundations or Public Funds.

  • Present and pitch MEDSIR's services and added value to potential clients, showcasing our expertise, capabilities, and unique value proposition.

  • Work closely with existing and potential funders to understand their research requirements and needs to coordinate with internal stakeholders and develop a tailored strategic service and/or clinical development strategy.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective opportunities development and communication with existing and potential funders.

  • Provide support in the design, development, and present scientific, operational, and market-based documentation, including abstracts, posters, protocols, presentations, market analysis reports, articles, etc.

  • Lead the negotiation of the budgets and provide support in the negotiation of contracts for all those activities that require an agreement with the different Funders contacted.

  • Collaborate in specific forums, media, and publications to position the company's branding highlighting the added value and differential.

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to ensure our offerings remain relevant and competitive.

  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to track leads, opportunities, and interactions to provide regular reports and updates to Business Development team, ensuring a structured and data-driven sales process.

  • A university degree in a health-related field.

  • At least two years of experience in Business Development or sales within the clinical research industry, preferably in the field of oncology.

  • Experience working with international clients and multi-functional teams is preferred.

  • Basic knowledge in the area of clinical trials, especially in design and development.

  • Strong understanding of the clinical research industry, market trends, and competitive landscape, preferably in the field of oncology.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.

  • Efficiency and agility in finding solutions to problems, goal orientation and collaboration.

  • Proficient computer skills, and ability and willingness to work through mainly digital tools.

  • Proficiently work on Apple devices/MacBook

  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office 365 environment.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet existing and potential funders and attend industry conferences and events.
