What you can expect
The View Engine Development Engineer is responsible for creating advanced view engine systems using surround view cameras for automotive applications.
This includes developing a virtual viewport display that enhances driver situational awareness.
The engineer must possess expertise in coordinate systems, transformations, and camera models, and be skilled in using graphical engines to implement efficient vehicle perception solutions.
- Design and develop view engine systems integrating surround view cameras and virtual viewport displays
- Implement transformations between pixel, image, and physical world coordinate systems
- Develop algorithms for 2D and 3D transformations
- Apply camera math models, including pinhole camera models, for accurate image transformations and processing
- Test and validate view engine systems to meet automotive standards
- Utilize graphical engines such as OpenGL (mandatory), Unity (nice to have), and Unreal Engine (nice to have) for rendering and visualization

What you'll bring
Mandatory
- Strong understanding of coordinate systems and transformation techniques
- Expertise in image and 2D <-> 3D transformations
- Proficiency in camera math models, such as pinhole camera models
- Experience with graphical engines like OpenGL
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D object creation and manipulation
- Familiarity with 3D surround view mesh creation
- Ability to develop virtual viewport display systems for real-time visual feedback
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, and Python
Nice to have
- Experience with graphical engines like Qt, Unity and Unreal Engine
- Experience with automotive grade software development process based on ASPICE or CMMi process model
