We are now looking for an Operational Buyer to take responsibility for our local supplier base and contribute directly to our production operations in Vårgårda. If you enjoy working with operational purchasing, supplier collaboration, and being close to the business, this could be the next step for you.
In this role, you will manage a defined group of local suppliers linked to our production site. You act as their primary contact and serve as a key interface between production and the global purchasing organization. The position combines hands‑on purchasing with development-oriented tasks aimed at ensuring a stable, cost-efficient, and quality-secured material flow.
You ensure that our local Approved Supplier List (ASL) is up‑to‑date and aligned with the global one, maintain master data in our systems, and oversee correct price uploads, documentation, and supplier onboarding. The role also includes leading local negotiations, managing long‑tail suppliers, and preparing cost data and spot purchase orders for series production.
Main responsibilities:
• Responsible for onboarding suppliers for local production
• Actively develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiations of long-tail suppliers
• Ensure correct price uploads and documentation in SAP
• Prepare cost data and manage spot Purchase Orders for series production
• Ensure purchase orders are placed, confirmed, and followed up on time to support production
• Support changes in the Bill of Material (BOM) and improvements for serial production.
• Coordinate with production and logistics to mitigate material shortages or plan alternative solutions when needed

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
• Education within supply chain, purchasing, finance, or equivalent work experience
• A few years of experience in operational purchasing, preferably in automotive
• Good understanding of purchasing processes and supplier relationships
• Strong proficiency in Swedish and English, spoken and written
• Experience in negotiations, supplier dialogue, and price updates
• Analytical skills and experience working with master data, cost structures, and pricing
