Thisindividualwill be an integral part of theSAIProcurementteam, responsible for driving both day-to-day procurementexcellent executionwhile collaborating cross functionally todeliverthe Fulfilled by Maersk procurement category strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Day to Day ProcurementActivities:Every dollar spent, is a dollar spent professionally - together with leadership, manage day to day procurement activities including,
Market engagement:Act as the primarymarket engagementprocurementleadforsourcing cost effective, compliant, quality procurement solutionsby researching andidentifyingprospective suppliers and partners
Go-to-market execution andanalysis- prepare,launchandfacilitatecompetitive market tests in the form of RFI, RFQ & RFPs
Negotiatecontracts and pricing with supplierspost market tests as well as annuallybeing able to analyse and compare supplier products todeterminethe best deal
Vendor Management: help resolve vendor or contractorgrievances andclaims againstsuppliers.
All the above forthe following categories: (1) Third party warehousing & cold storage, (2) Industrial real estate for self-managed sites, (3)Opexand Capex items required tooperationaliseself-managed sites incl. material handling equipment, racking & mezzanines, third partylabour, security services, facility management services, consumables, etc.,(4) Container depots & relatedservices, (5) Depot & Facilities Management.
Procurement Category Strategy:Executethe category strategiesfor the5listedcategories, guided by the overall Product strategy and informed by market intelligence, spend & supplier analysis and cost savingopportunities.
Sourcing Strategy:Developing and executingMaerskprocurement strategies based on organizationalobjectivesand supply chain managementprinciples.
Customer Tenders:Support Product and Sales withthe required input tosubmitcustomer tenderstimeously.
Global Processes & Teams:Performing your responsibilitiesutilizingglobal procurement processes and tools, global category management teams, and contract management frameworks to ensure cost leadership, compliance and best in class supplierperformance.
Implementation Partner: support your line manager to implement and drive continuous improvement activities throughexecutionof change management process and bestpractices.
Travel:Within theSAIarea self-managed site(s) and supplier locations as per business requirements
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Someone with:
Bachelor orpostgraduatedegree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, BusinessAdministration,or related areas
Minimum3 to 5yearsprocurement experience
Understanding of best-in-class procurement practices inLogistics is highly preferred
Outstanding professional performance
Ability to work independentlyand withspeed.
Experience in team & project management todrivingend-to-end sourcing projects and cost reductioninitiatives.
Experience in formulating and presenting sourcing strategies and processrecommendationto all levels ofleadership.
Experience in Routine Category & Tail spend management.
Strong communication,planningand prioritizing skills to manage work activities efficientlyin order tomeet deadlines and high-level goals in a complex, fast-paced,high-pressureenvironment.
Solving problems in a structured and analytical manner
General understanding of finance and accounting principles, and the ability to interpret financial data and apply to decisionmaking.
