ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our dynamic team in Stockholm as a Senior Backend Engineer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our Sportsbook domain, by working on the most impactful problems and being able to bring about change with effective momentum. You'll collaborate closely with our Staff Engineers, participating in tech meetings, validating architectural decisions, and ensuring seamless communication flow. Additionally, you'll work collaboratively with various teams, contributing to planning, tech solutions discussions, and feature development. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive solutions and actively shape our backend architecture.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

●Designing, developing and refactoring microservices.

●Conducting code reviews and mentoring team members.

●Integrating new products and building internal services to support our ecosystem.

●Taking ownership, problem-solving and collaborating with other teams.

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

●You have experience with common Java frameworks such as Spring and JPA

●Experience with Kotlin

●Demonstrated ability to build services from scratch.

● You're no stranger to working with relational databases such as MySQL

● You have experience in building scalable and fault-tolerant systems and are familiar with microservice architectures

NICE TO HAVES:

● Familiarity with additional technologies such as Akka, Hazelcast, Elasticsearch, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Consul, Google Cloud Platform, Vert.x and BigQuery.
