The Opportunity

We are seeking a Resource Manager to join our Human Resources team in Melbourne or Sydney on a 7-month maximum term contract.

In this role you will deliver and drive expert work allocation technology and advice to the Digital Legal Delivery practice group, balancing the needs of our clients, business, and the career aspirations and wellbeing of our people.

You will solve complex work allocation problems and anticipate business challenges that may arise, advising on solutions and preventative measures. You will maintain a broad appreciation of supply and demand needs across the global firm, driving mobility wherever possible and optimising allocation of work.

What you'll bring

  • Prior experience as a Resource Manager, ideally within a large professional services or legal environment.

  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive culture change.

  • Experience building strategic relationships at all levels, and a strong commercial and client focus.

  • Excellent IT skills and experience working with resource management software.

  • Experience identifying and executing mobility opportunities, with the ability to act quickly under tight deadlines.

  • A talent for data analysis, planning, forecasting, trend spotting, risk mitigation and reporting.

  • The ability to understand and analyse utilisation data and practice-specific work types to make resourcing decisions based on data and partner and staff preferences.

  • An understanding of key business drivers including the impact that utilisation and leverage have on profitability.

  • Presentation skills that will help educate the business on the benefits of the resource management function and available data tools.

  • A team focused and collaborative approach.
