About the role: What's in the Box
The service provider will contribute to the People Technology Operations squad, providing expert-level B2B services to maintain and optimize Workday and other People systems globally. This engagement focuses on delivering Tier 1 support, managing business-critical cyclical activities, and driving functional improvements to enhance system efficiency. As a senior-level contributor, the service provider will act as a primary technical point of contact for complex functional queries and support the optimization of the service delivery model.
What you'll do: The Recipe
- Deliver resolutions for highly complex technical queries and system issues escalated from the wider support squad.
- Develop and implement functional solutions and system optimizations aimed at proactively reducing ticket volume and increasing automated self-service.
- Execute the maintenance and configuration of Workday and associated People systems, ensuring seamless business process performance.
- Perform regular system audits, maintenance tasks, and compliance checks in alignment with global data governance policies.
- Provide technical delivery support for cyclical global initiatives, including system releases, performance review cycles, and open enrollment periods.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to other service providers and stakeholders to improve overall system utilization.
- Collaborate with primary stakeholders across the People Function to ensure system configurations and enhancements align with specific project requirements.
What you'll bring: The Ingredients
- Extensive hands-on experience (typically 3+ years) in Workday or HRIS support, with a focus on system maintenance and high-level functional support.
- Deep technical knowledge of Workday Core HCM, Security, Business Processes, Reporting & Analytics, Absence Management, and Compensation.
- Proven track record of troubleshooting complex Workday configurations and serving as a technical escalation point.
- A solution-oriented approach with the ability to design functional improvements that drive operational efficiency.
- Comprehensive understanding of global HR structures, data privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Experience providing technical guidance and fostering knowledge sharing within a project-based environment.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets) to identify system trends and performance gaps.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical Workday concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional fluency in English.
