Payroll Specialist

Ebury Madrid Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week

As a Payroll Specialist at Ebury, you are the technical and operational heart of the employee experience. You ensure our global team of 1,700+ professionals across 29+ markets is paid accurately, compliantly, and on time.

What you'll do

  • End to end processing of bi-monthly and monthly payrolls as part of a small team.
  • Analysis and documentation of each countries control framework and payroll processing guidance.
  • Ad hoc project support. Manage relationships with various stakeholders (i.e., Finance, HR, etc.) and the payroll provider to ensure end-to-end process excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies
  • Performing reconciliations and audit tasks for monthly payrolls. 
  • Stay up to date with local payroll regulations.
  • Support Finance teams with month-end close and reporting activities. 
  • Regularly review payroll processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and reliability.
  • Attend to all escalated and critical payroll related issues on a timely basis. 

What you'll need

  • At least 2 years' experience of processing payroll across multiple countries.
  • Experience of working with a global payroll provider/system, preferably CloudPay.
  • Ability to take ownership of payroll processes;
  • Problem solving mindset & positive attitude; 
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup and other formulas)
