The Operations Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating a team of transport coordinators to ensure the efficient execution of transport operations between suppliers and customers.

The role has a strong focus on processes and operational excellence, requiring solid experience in road transport operations, as well as team leadership in dynamic logistics environments. Experience in ocean transport and maritime logistics is considered a plus. The Operations Lead ensures operational performance aligned with agreed KPIs while supporting the implementation of logistics solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily transport operations, ensuring efficient execution across the network.
• Manage capacity planning and transport execution in collaboration with carriers and logistics partners.
• Monitor operational KPIs and address issues related to service performance, cost, and transport reliability.
• Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives across transport operations.
• Lead cost investigations and 8D analyses related to the Route Management process.
• Provide operational leadership to a team of Transport Coordinators, ensuring balanced workload distribution and performance.
• Act as the main escalation point for operational and resource-related issues.
• Support testing and implementation of new logistics solutions, ensuring alignment between systems, processes, and business requirements.
• Ensure operations are delivered according to ISO documentation and internal standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or similar.
• Minimum 4 years of experience leading operational teams within transport and logistics environments.
• Strong experience in road transport operations and process management.
• Experience in ocean transport and maritime logistics is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Data-driven decision-making mindset.
• Ability to lead teams in dynamic operational environments.
• Languages: Fluent in English.
• Experience managing multimodal transport operations is a plus.
