Job purpose

This role focuses on hands-on development and deployment of AI systems and workflows, including DAISY (our internal Dentons AI System, combining a tailored chatbot, workflows, internal tool integrations, and knowledge management) and Microsoft's AI suite (Copilot Studio, Foundry, SharePoint knowledge agents). AI Engineer prototypes new AI solutions, collaborates with teams across Europe to develop and implement AI use cases, and stays current with AI developments to inform our strategic direction.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the development and deployment lifecycle of DAISY, our in-house AI system.
  • Designing new functionalities through AI workflows and automations, prompt engineering, and iterative testing.
  • Collaborating with developers using agile methodologies to deliver AI solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Building rapid prototypes and automating processes to address workflow challenges.
  • Partnering with lawyers and business professionals to create new functionalities.
  • Managing backlog, user stories, and data quality to ensure high-quality feature delivery.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, IT, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with AI tools and technologies.
  • Experience working in tech teams or technical implementations is a plus.

Skills and competencies

Mandatory technical skills:

  • Very good knowledge of AI and experience in engineering AI solutions (workflows, RAGs, prompting, parameters, models, context etc.)
  • Experience with any low-code / no-code solutions (Microsoft AI tools preferred; n8n or Zapier is also a plus)
  • Analytical thinking
  • Ability to come up with AI-driven solutions to solve business problems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to communicate effectively across tech and business teams and stakeholders

Nice to have technical skills

  • Experience with PowerBI, ETL, data modelling
  • Experience with coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code, Lovable)
  • Data handling and analysis (e.g. PowerQuery)
  • Demonstrated experience building process automations (even without AI)
