Job Description

Responsible for systems infrastructure support, encompassing both the virtualization and storage platform , as well as the on-premises environment (physical data centers, racks, cabling, basic network electronics). Main responsibilities

1. On-Premise Infrastructure Management

  • Operation and maintenance of physical and virtual servers in data centers (housing in Interxion, Nabiax Alcalá, etc.).
  • VMware virtualization platform management (vSphere/ESXi): adding and removing VMs, configuring resources, reviewing events, updates, etc.

  • Coordination of physical interventions in data centers with other providers of housing, communications, etc.).
  • Maintenance of physical network diagrams and associated documentation (patching, ports used, critical paths).

3. Operating procedures, safety and quality of service

  • Compliance with security policies and hardening and patching procedures.
  • Generation of evidence of controls (backups, access, physical security, inventories, etc.).
  • Strict adherence to ITIL processes for managing incidents, changes, problems, configurations, and privileged users.
  • Collaboration in internal and external audits related to infrastructure.

Job requirements

Training

  • Technical qualification in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Higher Vocational Training in Systems/Networks or equivalent.
  • Certifications in the following areas are desirable:
    • VMware (VCP, VCTA or similar).
    • Networks (CCNA, JNCIA or equivalent).
    • Operating systems (MCSA/MCSE, RHCSA, etc.).

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Infrastructure/Systems Engineer roles or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience in:
    • VMware environment administration (vSphere/ESXi).
    • Management of Windows and Linux servers in critical environments.
    • I work in physical data centers : hardware installation, structured cabling, rack assembly, etc.
    • Basic switching/routing tasks (VLANs, ports, connectivity troubleshooting).
  • Valuable experience in:
    • Backup environments and ransomware protection .
