A challenge ahead:

CloudTalk's Finance Team is growing, and we're looking for a Deal Desk Manager to architect and own the deal-execution process.

This is a founding role within the function. We need a senior professional who has the experience to build the Deal Desk from scratch and the "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude to manage the day-to-day operations. You will be the critical bridge between Sales, RevOps, and Finance, ensuring our growth is backed by operational excellence and clean data.

  • Build the Blueprint - You will define the workflows, approval matrices, and "rules of engagement" for how deals are structured and closed.
  • Guard Revenue Integrity - You'll ensure that every contract signed is commercially sound, properly documented, and ready for seamless billing.
  • Drive System Order - You will be the primary person responsible for ensuring our CRM and Billing data is 100% accurate, eliminating the "fix it later" culture.

What you'll work on:

  • Function Architecture: Design and implement the end-to-end Deal Desk framework, including the "Quote-to-Cash" workflow and deal approval levels.
  • Billing Ownership: Take a hands-on lead in setting up billing for complex or non-standard deals, ensuring 100% accuracy between the signed contract and our financial systems.
  • Billing System Optimization: Proactively identify billing bottlenecks and operational inefficiencies; lead the design and implementation of system and process improvements to ensure a scalable, automated, and error-free billing engine.
  • Deal Governance: Act as the final "Quality Gate" for all deals. For smaller deals, you will review and approve; for larger deals, you will actively help structure them.
  • Contracting & Pricing: Review and approve all amendments to pricing and contract terms, ensuring they align with CloudTalk's financial guidelines and legal requirements.
  • System Integrity: Clean up and maintain the "source of truth" in our systems. You will ensure that errors are caught and corrected before a deal is closed, not after.
  • Sales Enablement: Educate the Sales team on deal structuring best practices to improve the quality of submissions and reduce friction during the closing process.
  • Cross-functional Liaison: Work closely with Finance (for billing), RevOps (for systems), and Sales (for velocity) to resolve roadblocks.

What we are looking for:

  • The "Builder" Experience: 5+ years of experience in Deal Desk or Sales Operations. We value candidates who have helped a company transition from "manual/messy" to "structured/scalable."
  • Operational Rigor: You have a low tolerance for "messy" data. You are someone who enjoys bringing order to chaos and making sure every field in the CRM is exactly where it should be.
  • SaaS Expertise: Deep understanding of SaaS commercial terms, subscription billing models, and common pitfalls in software contracting.
  • Assertive Partnering: You can hold your ground with Sales teams to ensure quality, while still being a "problem solver" who helps them get deals across the finish line.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with CRM systems and an understanding of how they talk to billing/accounting software.
  • Proactive Personality: You don't wait for a manual; you write it. You are eager to improve our reporting and planning maturity by ensuring the data going in is perfect.
