Frontend foundations is a track within Booking.com's Marketplace organization focusing on solving for Traveler needs across all platforms. Our vision is to make booking.com the most reliable and engaging way to be a traveler. We are seeking a Product manager to join our track in the Foundations department.

In Foundations, we're focussing on empowering teams at booking to achieve this vision.

The key areas of our focus are:

Building solutions that simplify access to common systems & content management to enable reusability, efficiency and compliance.

Having a clear ownership and build common standards and capabilities to realize a scalable presentation layer

Provide responsive & high quality experiences to our travelers powered by reliable high quality infrastructure by bringing visibility, benchmarking and actionability to performance & quality measurement on the web.

Our aim is to create modern and relevant moments for our customers from the look to stay journey, scalably. We do this by investing in capabilities such as smart positioning, smart content, rich reusable connected UX patterns married with a centralized distribution system that can enable our stakeholders to create personalized experiences at scale. This ensures our customers see and interact with a website/app that looks consistent, is on brand, understands our user's context and adapts to their actions and needs in real time.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Refine and own the long-term vision and strategy of the team and its products.
• Define and monitor critical metrics for your products.
• Empower and collaborate with your cross-functional team to unlock their full potential and maximize their impact.
• Work with your team on identifying and understanding the needs of your users and the business.
• Collaborate and align with your engineering counterpart on the technical roadmap.
• Prioritize the team backlog to better address the needs of your users and the business.
• Liaise with stakeholders across the organization to ensure good performance of our products.
• Work closely with the engineering team to build and operate the product.
• Engage other product managers within the department and Booking.com to define development priorities for the product.

Role Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Product Manager role (a technical and data focus is a plus)
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical stakeholders (Engineers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists) as well as with the users of the platform.
• Team player with a bottom-up ideation process. Ability to see the big picture, without losing sight of the product details.
• An analytical orientation and strong problem-solving skills demonstrated by the ability to structure issues and analyze alternative solutions.
• Proven experience understanding and formulating meaningful business metrics.
• Familiarity with the challenges and best practices for scaling infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks, Domain Driven Design is a plus.
• Solution oriented and result driven
