Job Summary
The Senior Operations Analyst lead role is required to support the development, implementation and adherence to the BHFS Operations regulatory compliance across Outsourcing, Operational Resilience, Customer, Data Management and Change Management regulatory landscapes in EEA and UK respectively. The role reports to the BHFSI Director of Change. The role exists to support the end to end execution and oversight of vendors, outsourced processes and functions for Booking Holdings Financial Services, to ensure: ● The stability and resilience of payment services to Booking Holdings Group customers ● The regulatory requirements set out by the CBI and FCA are satisfied ● That operations conform to effective, innovative and efficient business practices. The jobholder will work in partnership with the BHFS UK Operation team to ensure an entity agnostic and consistent approach to Operations capabilities is implemented
Key Responsibilities
Function Implementation Lead the build out of the BHFS Operations Control Function in Bangalore, intended to deliver operational services and derive efficiency across all BHFS entities, supporting with recruitment, onboarding, training, tooling and local management of team members.
Day to Day Management Manage, oversee and coordinate the activities of the Operations Analysts across Outsourcing, Change Management, Customer, Operational Resilience and Data Management to ensure consistent and timely execution of activities.
Operational Build Work closely with the BHFS Operations Capability leads to deliver the build out and enhancement of operational processes, management of the Operations compliance regulatory requirements and ensuring proportionate transformation of requirements into Operational activities by the Operations Control Function in Bangalore.
Operational Run Support and deliver on activities as part of a BAU/Run environment, ensuring ongoing delivery to BAU activities that promote delivery and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Scheduling Develop operational scheduling of activities promoting a disciplined operational rhythm that delivers desired outcomes that are planned and executed in line with agreed standards and timelines with strong attention to detail on record attention imperative
Relationship Management Build relationships with intra company and non intra company service providers that facilitates long term understanding and adherence to outsourcing standards and regulations
Risk and Compliance Support and represent the operation team in regular engagements with the second lines of defence teams and establish key performance indicators for the BHFSI Operations function
Continuous Improvement (Lean/Six Sigma): A major part of the role is identifying "waste" in processes, to formalize Continuous Improvements into a rigorous process that delivers positive outcomes such as operational efficiency, improved regulatory compliance and or cost savings.
Required Knowledge- Bachelor's Degree
Years of Relevant Job Knowledge- Advanced job knowledge (5-8years)
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
The Senior Operations Analyst Lead is expected to have had at least 5-8 years operations experience ideally in a regulatory environment with a strong understanding of EEA and UK regulations, ideally within the banking/payments sectors. The ideal job candidate will have the following experience of:
● Operationalising regulatory requirements into operational processes that are pragmatic, measurable and scalable.
● Team setups, team management, coaching, mentoring and providing guidance, direction and support to team members
● Working within a service delivery environment
● Supporting/Contributing to Incident Resolution (including remediation actions) Collating data and reporting results in a structured and professional manner.
● Building, implementing and maintaining operational processes and controls. The ideal job candidate will possess the following knowledge and skills:
● Excellent communication and influencing skills
● Highly organized and efficient
● Strong project management skills
● Ability to deliver results in a timely manner without compromisation of results
● Strong understanding of the EEA and UK regulatory landscape for payment institutions/Electronic Money Institutions
